You'll thank me when you're older...

When I was little, my parents would always use the line, "It doesn't matter that you're mad now because you'll thank me when you're older." :242:

I didn't believe their lies then, and I don't now; sure, I'm still getting older, but I think that they've seriously underestimated how stubborn I am! Anyways, I'm thankful for all the times they didn't need to say that, dammit. Well, I'm gonna bitch at them later and see what they've got to say for themselves (woohoo! synesthesia rocks!).

Stubborness and how long it takes before the locks are changed when you are not home are somehow closely linked.

I'm trying to get a government grant to study this phenomenon.

Uhuh, that's how I can see what they've got to say. It's really fun--a couple milligrams of 2CB will do the trick.

I don't really know what you're getting at, but my parents were right about most things - and I'm glad now they controled me with an iron fist when I was younger. I still did some really dumb shit, and considering that some people's parents just didn't give a damn, I'm thankful mine cared so much. Now that I'm older, I do thank them.

you can probably take sociology 100 and write your paper on that. hahaha but if we're talkin a book here then thats cool =)

other then that my parents were right about most things... some things obviously they weren't since they couldnt relate to my age at the time and due to their own stresses but in the end that stress was to provide for me and my sister. i'm pretty thankful to God that I've got the parents i have. Even though every family has their issues, you got to be smart and work together to make the whole family work. one bad seed in the family can cause total chaos for the entire family.

no doubt. although my parents never enforced any rules on me i eventually matured on my own after years of doing bad shit. during the past i just wouldn't listen taking everything they say and translating that into "blah blah blah" now i realize the stuff they say is true. to all the teens who think their on top of the world i would suggest u smart up fast.

So, did you guys all go back and say, "Hey, mom and dad, I just wanted you to thank you for before"? Cause if not, it might make them happy... :257:
