Actually, my use of 'its' is correct!

It's is a contraction for it is or it has.

Its is a possessive pronoun meaning, more or less, of it or belonging to it.

Nah dude, you were trying to say "It is about time." Therefore your use of "its" was incorrect.

pwned would be contributing to the lame internet slang though! If you say your incorrect usage was intentional I believe you!

my only defense............. i believe 'u' is acceptable when text messaging and you're limited to the number of characters you can type!

^i agree with that actually. but i only use 'u' to replace 'you' in text messeges where i'm running out of room and if i don't do that then the message will have to be sent in 2 parts, therefore costing me more money.

Text Messages, Telegrams and Morse Code are the only place that I use shortened versions like that.

Nah...I just try to minimize the amount of swearing I do. Substitution and all that jazz.

It's not internet slang, it's LIFE slang. ;)

I hate to point it out but considering your comment on being cautious I had no choice.

It should have been TOO not TO!

No way man... I think the capitalization is to stress the point not make a joke. The convenience of the capitalization makes it an easy out though!

you know, chances are if I'm using morse code, I'm probably in a situation where I REALLY want to make my message absolutely clear, therefore I don't think any shortened versions of anything would be useful. Maybe if you were sending a telegraph ca. 1860 it could've saved you some bling (i think they called it 'money' back then), but otherwise...

^ Naw, you'd be surprised at the amount of abbreviations and codes that are used by Morse Code operators. They shorten words and even sentences so that they can transmit faster and more concisely.
