The plan is working???

I was on a bus going threw Como Lake area today, and I saw a BC Liberal sign for Harry (Coy????). Anyways on his sign there was another sign, it said "The plan is working".
Ummmm I was wondering if anyone knows what this plan is?
Is it the plan to encase your leader in a bubble, have him attend only Liberal partisan events, so he won't have to be put on the spot. Or is it the plan to lie to all the people of BC yet again, to trick them into voting for them? Anyone have any idea's. The Liberals can't really believe we're are that stupid, a little bit maybe...but like this...never!

I remember when we elected them every seat except 2.

They wouldn't have won so many in the city (note how the city is the only place that got any NDP votes) if it weren't for the fact that a bus strike was going on.

Yes, we're that stupid.

Sure the economy is good, but building it on the back of the worker, I mean who the fuck tears up a collective agreement and privatizes BC rail and hydro (a resource.... real smart)

And healthcare, christ better hope no one gets sick in this province or needs a cat scan etc... because all the waits have tripled, long care beds closed. Hell Gordie sent his son to Seattle for treatment on his leg when he broke it skieing.

Fuck the Liberals, the NDP isnt great either but the better of two evils.

It's easy to hate on, but honestly, BC had too many social programs it was distracting itself. It was the downfall of Glen Clark: Too many pet projects that were just a resource hog.

It sucks they're privatized now despite politician promises against it (because we all know how much water those hold) but honestly, our government doesn't have as many assets as the NDP led us to believe.

Now if only someone can get on this whole healthcare/education thing everybody seems to still want.

Thanks to interest rates...damn straight...too bad wages aren't going up, well maybe for some peepz. BC's economic growth was at 4.8% when NDP left office...it's still going strong at 3.9%.

Hey when you think about it....it's all the same shit...different piles! I'm convinced that with our Provincial and Federal governments are no longer moving us forward as a society. We need one clear party to run shit, because when you got a bunch of different parties debating in the HOC or PLA, nothing really gets done...ask yourself...what has the federal government done so far, for it's peepz this year... ... ... nothing but sketch comedy for all the world to laugh at!

And this is democracy...ain't it cool

^Rawb...a little of both...but to add I've been a Social Democrat from the begining. In my eyes the Liberals are liars, and if Gordon Campbell was like Pinochio, he wouldn't be able to hold his head up. However these are my opinions, and I know there's a lot of interesting opinions of the NDP, damn Clark and his ferry's! As for the Green party...well they haven't had a chance to screw up yet...nonetheless they are a wasted vote.

And as for the Federal scene and all the crap that going on in the HOC. I wouldn't believe you for a second, if you didn't agree with me that our current Fed Gov is a joke and not doing anything for Canadains at the moment. I mostly don't believe you because your a Liberal supporter...Liberals and all those lies! Just kidding...common rawb nothings getting done...and that's the facts! Best believe that

Your opinions are valid, but the only thing that's missing is where the NDP are any better. They're puppets to the small unions, have fucked over our provincial healthcare system by trying to regionalize it, promptly making it more and more difficult for people to receive the treatment they need. The Cowichan District Hospital Foundation sat on a $1M donation made specifically for the purpose of having a CAT scanner implemented at CDH that the NDP refused to approved the purchase of. So the money just stayed in the bank and did absolutely nothing while not-so-mobile patients got transported to Vic (at taxpayer expense) to get their CAT scans done. But still, the NDP, as hardened a heart as the Pharoah in Exodus, refused to approve the purchase. Despite all the doctor, nurse and patient demands and all necessary available resources.

I'm sorry, but the NDP has no fucking clue how to handle money.

Uh, Who the hell is talking federal?

Completely different parties.

^ Overall I'm pretty heated over Canadian politics in general, provincial, federal, whatever.
NDP not knowing how to spend money, yeah I agree with that...need I say fast ferries? Ok I will the fast ferries was one of the biggest blunders in BC history, horribly over budget, and plagued with mechanical problems. However I defend the idea of building them because: they provided hundreds of skilled, high paying jobs(production, and sailing). Some of those jobs included apprentice training for tradeperson positions. In a time where the baby boomers are retiring, this was a great opportunity to prepare to fill they're roles. Third, with all those jobs created here in BC, the money made was mostly spent here in BC. So in turn boasting BC's economy. However with the project so over budget and the finished ferries being lemons, all the good things didn't matter, because we the taxpayers paid the bill...even I admit I'm sore about that.
It would be a great thing if we had some fast ferries for 2010, but we will have new ones in time...of course these ferries are being built oversea's.

Politicians liars!!! lmao A good point to make here is not all politicians are liars, most of them start out honest with good intensions, however power corrupts. So after a while most, if not all turn to the "dark side" (<--ugh sorry had to). So when they're feeding their own ambitions, they start sticking it to the very people who put them there. Then comes the election, and the lies(any party). I find it all quite amusing that these politicians think that we believe them...even more amusing is that some people actually do.
Being a hard line Union guy, and with involvment in the Canadian Labour Congress and BC Ferderation of labour...I've become a social democrat. I wonder how many lies I've been told to make me partisan?

the problem with politics is that every politician has the claim that they can reduce taxes while putting more money into social services without causing irreversible damage to the environment... which, we all know, is bullshit...

leaders don't get voted in, they get voted OUT...
