Meef lately.
I hate mondays.
Last night someone in my department told me to "Do my job" despite the fact that I did it. Snobby kid here that seems to think that if you don't do your job perfectly you need to be written up or something. Basically, I do phone tech support, in the level-2 support, which means level-1 reps call me when they don't know what to do.
So a rep called with an issue, I gave a couple of steps, and the rep went back to the customer, I dropped off the call.
So then, the rep calls back to my department, gets this snobby meef and I get this Messenger message from him telling me that I did the wrong steps, and that I should resolve the issue not just work around it.
Dave: "Uh, dude. The issue was what I was working on it."
Meef: "But you didn't solve it."
Dave: "So my steps didn't work!"
Meef: "You should have done <tech>!"
Dave: "Okay. My apologies my steps didn't work. But don't tell me I'm not doing my job just because my way didn't work this time."
Puts that heart-sinking feeling you get when being confronted. You know? Gets the adrenaline going in a not-so-good way. Makes you jumpy and nervous.
Then today my roomate comes in and says that my other roomate saw some smoke billowing out of my room recently, asking if I've been smoking weed in there. I haven't been (for the love of christ, I'm not even allowed to own weed in there let alone smoke it), and I haven't really been burning much incense lately... I honestly have no clue wtf is being talked about.
One thing that meefs me off about it is that I keep getting messages like this. One roomate apparently pissed off with me and the other one is telling me about it. It's annoying because it puts me on the spot and I have no way of defending myself. Then I get the idea that I have a roomate who's mad pissed off with me. I can deal with a roomate who's pissed off with me but not if they never talk to me about it.
Fawk. Can I write this off as a bad day yet?
Meeeeeeeeeeeeef.
