I'm really bad with over dispensing the hahas too but usually when i do it its a glaring sign that i've lost all interest in the conversation and am just responding to be polite. if u get 3 or more "haha"s "ah"s or "i see"s in a row from me its probably time to talk to someone else about your latest reality tv obsession.

To my mind, "lol" fell into the "so lame it's funny again zone" and got locked in there. Hasn't slipped out yet, I use it often and I enjoy saying it IRL even more.
