off from work today

Yesterday at work i was filleting salmon and sliced my finger to the bone! now i cant work my other job because i cant lift, fold or do nething that involves my lefts arm!! ahh i hope WCB covers my lost wages from my second job cuz this sucks! figures sumthin like this would happen to me :(

my first week on the line pretty much every finger on my hand had a band aid with a finger cot wrapped around. soooo smooth. haha

actually it was quite dull.. but i was using a lot of force. If it was sharper i woulda chopped my finger right off!

well heres an update i went to the doctor and she says i should be going to work for ATLEAST 3 days! howver Zara wants me to work tomorrow and they said "well use your right hand" if i tell them i can because i am unable to they are allowed to terminate me :( also if i go to work tomoorow then if messes up my wcb claim!!! i am so frusterated right now *tear*

Actually..Zara legally cannot terminate for an injury sustained at another job, especially if you are on a WCB claim for it. Dont let them bully you, take the time that you need to heal. How would they like it if your cut opened up and caused you to get blood on their clothes!!!!!

The prob can't legally do this or that...But also keep in mind. Your working environment would prob be soooo much harder after too? If you had to fight for time off when mngrs and people want you working? You know what I mean...

Working after might be hard cause they might resent the fact you did stuff etc etc...

we've had those in my dept at work but no one has bothered using them! I never have but thats cus i dont have to cut things very often cus im so scared of it.... i know a guy that lost 3 of his fingers at work cutting food. eeeeek! be careful!
