downtown parking.
:( seriously hate it so so so much.. and no im not bussable either. even if i really wanted to... i highly dont perfere it and it will take triple the time for me to drive and bus changes.
worked a 4:30-12am shift today (same shift all week) and the only parking i could find was 13 bucks til 6am. its in that weird time where i have 3.5 hours til meter parking is free (meter u can usually only fill up for 2 hours) and most night time parking starts at 6..so i had to resort to all day parking which costs way too much. gonna go to dt extra early tmrw and see what other parking is available.. iknow theres some free parking in yaletown..but im not a big fan of walking through downtown alone at 1am. eeks. maybe ill pay someone to fill up the meter for me at 6.... any volunteers? anyone know any good mid afternoon/night time parking lots? (richards and smithe is only 6 bucks morning - 7pm...considered a good deal). or any meters in dt that allow you to fill it up more than 2 hours.. maybe 3.5 hours? or even better....ANYONE KNOW ANY MORE FREE PARKING IN CENTRAL DT? or if any of u downtowners have an extra parking spot i will pay u a fee to park in ure lot this month. ^^at work at that time.. no chance to run out.
there are free parking in dt..... some of those "2 hour parkings" no one really checks and u can park there for more than 2 and get away with it. very iffy..dont want my car towed away =(. and like i said..yaletown is free parking central, but just a bit far. |

theres one on like jervis and robson where i parked one day for over 3 hours and got away with. it was my lucky day i guess.. i just dont wanna be paying 13 dollars a day everyday this tmonth...that would suuuuckkkkk. working at work and knowing ure hard work just went to a stupid parking spot is lame.

That's a tough one there FunFun. Have you asked your manager about the parking situation? Clearly he/she must have some suggestions for you. |

There is tons of free parking down by Tinseltown, but ya, thats not central D/T. You could park there for free and jump on the skytrain to central D/T and it would be cheaper though. /j |

That is even compounded by the fact those insane inclines are thin not allowing (safely) for 2-way traffic. WTF were they thinking? Overall I wasn't impressed with that new theatre except for when I got into the theatre itself and then it was just like any other. |

I used to park at the parkade on smithe and seymour everyday. $6/$7 untill 7pm. But the thing I like about is that it is patroled all the time. I'm not sure where you work but check out the easy park on pacific and davie. anytime i park over night I'll park there because its closed and secure after 11. Plus I think its pretty cheap.
g'luck! |

day parking is super cheap because most parking lots have an early bird fee but its only til 7pm.. and the night deals usually start after 6 which doesnt help me at all, which forces me to park all day... and tahts usually $10+. weekends its not so bad... cuz like carrie said the paramount parking lot is only 5 bucks..but on weekends i rather park in yaletown anyways and enjoy the walk. ive asked a buncha coworkers already everyones been paying huge bucks for parking.. two ppl got towed yesterday. eeks.
yea i work in the new paramount building on hornby and smithe, so its central from anywhere in dt, and i dont mind walking if the parking is a bit cheaper. keep the info coming! rawb i think for the past 2 weeks ive worked there ive already paid 50 bucks just for parking.. something to think about. ya... really dont know what to do.
