sall good tho, this week I desided to test my new theory. if a ticket for riding without fare is $179 dollars.. and I can get thru two months using my "mocked" train pass (cuz checks are rare) then I already saved money.

Ive been using an old trick my buddy from new west did to get more $$ outta his month each month. You keep all your old tickets, then when your able to you do a little cut/paste over letters and slap it back in your sleeve. looks ace from a distance. mind you if you were to inspect close up it would be noticable, but works great on the flash and fake.

im onto bigger and better ideas tho =)=)

because if you and others weren't ripping off transit, in theory the service would be better. that would include the train arriving on time.

First off, transit shouldnt cost as much as it does in the first place, so for ripping off the system, im hella down with that.

But keep in mind if a good chunk of people were doing what myles does, then prices would be sky high for the average joe.

Um, part of why transit prices increase has to do a lot with people ripping off the system. They lose about 3m a year due to fare evasion. NOT COO AT ALL.

I really don't get about the bitching that transit is too expensive.... the cost of maintaining a vehicle, gas, parking, insurance, and for some a car payment is a hell of a lot more than the $140 or whatever it is for a 3 zone bus pass.

Lets talk Rev line, over crowded busses and trains, extensions to areas I don't ever use. Just the facts are ticket prices have raised from 0.75$ a ride to 2.25$ for students within five years. Because of expanding lines fares increase. Lines I don't/won't use!

I'm not glorifying the fact you should cheat a ticket, I bought one this morning. However im not talking your skytrain or bus. I'm talking westcoast express. If your going to tell me they are under funded you can eat shit.

Now take that and compare it with the "ridership steadily rising by 5%/year" statistics and it's not hard to see how about $9m lost (out of $115 that should be collected) would piss translink off substantially.
