seriously, i wear mine to show my sister that i care and its tough to see someone you know so well to go through these types of problems. my sister is 21, she's younger than i am and she is going blind. your lucky you guys arent the ones who cant walk straight, or need someone to drive your car cuz you cant see at night. you clowns are all selfish and ignorant and i dont see how it is so easy to open your mouth without thinking about the people around you.

and you know what? by making comments and insults like that, you're sinking right down to their level.

if people don't like them, they aren't going to buy them. getting angry and upset isn't going to change anyones mind. they aren't the only form of helping either, so it's really nothing to get all stressed over.

however, i believe a lot of people started wearing these things simply for the fashion sense.. and nothing makes me feel more ill. I had a girl in my english class selling the livestrong bands for 20$ a piece... Yes, then I wanted to vomit on each and everyone of the people that bought them simply "to have"... I would wear one if someone asked me to or if I knew somone that I felt I could support.

Also:
Nike "Baller Bands" have been around for years. When the LiveStrong bands were pumped out (made by nike as well... go figure) a lot of other causes jumped on the idea as well.

In short: Diss the people that wear them for no reason other than to fit in.

Those rubber bands mean different things to different people.

For those who wear it to support a good cause, or support family/friends..it means nothing but that.

For those who wear it to be trendy..to be cool.. they wear it for no other reason.

A lady came into my work a couple months ago selling these blue ones that said "joy". The donation was a minimum of $2. She told me that it was to support child abuse.. so I made a $5 donation..as well as other employees. A week later I saw them in walmart for $1.99 with ones that said "cool", "sexy" etc. So..this lady was making a profit off of 'trendy' rubber bands...nothing for a cause. Horrible lady.

I have a green one to support the food bank, an orange one for childrens charity, a pink one to support breast cancer and the yellow live strong one. ;D
