i think they're abusing the dogs next door

well two doors down, everyday i walk up to the most horrific dog whining sounds...


apparently the lady had a dog training thing in her backyard, i know for a fact that she does not have a big backyard and she is not home during the day...she never ever takes the dogs for a walk...


i dont know if i should call the spca if i dont have any proof



but i cant stand to hear that horrible sound anymore, the poor dogs...

i think if you call into the police or SPCA or somethng they'll usually send someone over just to check the place out.

however, my dog never goes on walks (big yard though) and when somebody leaves the house, she whines like crazy. And when they come home, same thing. not a lonely dog either..

If you have a rising concern for the well being of the animals just give them a call. They will know what is acceptable living conditions, and will act if there is a problem. At least you know you have checked it out, and the SPCA is aware of it.

well see i know that dogs will whine when the owners arent there, but i dont know how many dogs are in that yard, and we knew awhile back that they had something like 15 dogs in the backyard and DONT have room for it, and we did know that some of them were locked in cages all day


i'd feel horrible reporting them if they are treating the dogs well this time and just happen to have a few that sound like their stuck in a bear trap

if its for nothing, then atleast you know you made the effort on behalf of concern. If the neighors talk shit, just explain to them its not personal, all you cared about, was the well being of THEIR pet.

I agree. It's not up to you to decide what acceptable living conditions are, and you won't be forced to make that call. The scpa is trained to know when abuse is going on, so let them know and they'll check it out for themselves. Also, I doubt they will tell the neighbour who made the call anyway...
