There's been a few here...

Calgary's electronic scene is a little more unstable than ours though, a handful of the events I've been to there have had shootings/stabbings, and all of them have had rumours of 'possible shootings/stabbings' that were 'supposed to happen in the night.

as a girl that is slowly moving away from the electronic scene here in van and more into the hiphop scene, ive been find the "hip hop" crowd more appealing, friendly, and just a pleasant to be around. (that's of course my pov). so just cuz i enjoy the hiphop scene, does not make me a higher chance of carrying a gun, knife, weapon...become a shit starter. it is just as high of chance to see something break out at an electronic night than any other night.

dereck carter at commodore had a stabbing and that was a house night. its not the music, its the people the promoters cater to. I remember a month and half ago there was a pretty brutal beating at aqua on friday but then on saturday it was all fine.
