Sunburns.

First full week of work, and I've been scorched twice.

Monday I didn't apply till the afternoon, and didn't apply enough. Burnt my forearms pretty bad.

Today (friday) I forgot my hat at home, but wasn't too concerned because it's cloudy and relatively cool, not much past mid 20s.

Wrong.

Burnt my stupid head.

I hate sunburns. It's going to take all weekend before this goes away.

UV levels are insane here in Oz. On clear, scorching days the rating is around 12 or 13, which Vancouver never comes close to. Thank you close proximity to hole in ozone layer.

Done bitching (aka "whinging")

Isnt the rain that weve been getting a product of ozone layer damage?

Global warming > glaciers/ice caps @ the poles melting, more water to eventaully evaporate, more rain??

Im no scientist, someone hook a bro up with a hypothesis.

Since everyone seems to be floundering on this.. Fable my understanding is that, while there's nothing wrong with your second sentence... you haven't really linked it with your first one.

As far as I know, the hole in the ozone doesn't have the effect of increasing heat for areas underneath it. What the hole does affect is the amount of radiation from the sun that can get through and subsequently burn your skin. My "hypothesis" assumes that getting "burned" isn't linked to heat, but to invisible rays. But I'm starting to wonder if my hypothesis is out to lunch.

To the google-mobile!

If you look at "harmful effects", warming temperatures isn't listed as one of them.

Bondi is the nicest beach, but Manly is good too.

Bondi sand is the best, it's like walking on pillows. Plus they have a less pretentious demographic than Manly.
