Let's see.... 2 yrs ago the agency I work for was founded by the merger of a few different medical agencies. When the merger was made the incumbent for my position was a data tape changer. Her job was eliminated in the merger.
They offered her the position I have and after a month she said she couldn't handle it and left on long-term diability for stress. Well my boss served her with her papers saying you've been on disability for two years so your claim has run out and you're not getting any more money from us. She's magically better now that her free ride is over and she wants her old job back. Union rules pretty much force me to give it up... not a thing I can do.
Worst is they expect me to train her! I was told that I'm so good at my job that they want me to train her... she specifically asked that I do it! How the hell am I supposed to be nice to the lazy bitch who's taking my job??
Boss man is going to enroll me in an A+ class or something just so I may have a chance in getting in on the tech side of things but there's no guarantee. He told me that they don't want to lose me but the union has their hands tied. They don't even want this woman back.
Shitty deal when you're told you do an excellent job and someone can just come and pluck that job away from you.
