Theres this thing in Australia called like a Funnel Web spider! That thing is crazy........apparentley it has enough venom to kill 3 human beings, and there like in doorways in Sydney!!! there just dangling in their messed up webs they look sick too! There like all slimey if you hate spiders these are the kind to hate or that big ass bird eating spider! Holy crap thats a huge ass spider IT EATS BIRDS the thing can freakin jump.........How do people not die everyday in australia Id see one of those things and pass out then itd eat me and lay eggs in my intestines...........I dont wanna go to Australia!

How do people not die everyday in australia

I was in Sydney for 6 months. Never saw one, except on TV. Never heard of anyone getting bitten by one, except on TV (and then, only in stories of things that happened 10 years ago, not on the 6 oclock news or anything).

I worked as a property surveyor, meaning I was often in peoples backyards, crawlspaces, the bush, etc. The worst thing I encountered was ticks, which weren't very much fun as I woke up at 4AM covered in about 50 itchy as hell bites. But people manage not to die in Sydney, clearly, because there's like 5 million people living there.

Im ok with most animals/insects except for ants and lizards.

Maybe it's becuase I saw the horror movie Ants or because when I see a line of organized ants I worrie the're going to take over the world?



As for lizards I think there great to look at, but the textrure of their skin and the way they move absoluty freaks me out. I could hold a snack or a slimmy frog or nute, but if you put one of these on me I would scream my head off!

Actualy more ppl die from vending machines a year then they do from crocs, sharks, and snakes combined!

I traveled Australia for a year... along the ocean, the out back, the desert, and down south. I ran into every 'killer' animal in the wild; sharks, crocs, land snacks, water snacks, manta rays, dingos, surched my swag for torachulas, and found spiders right by my bed... only once I got bit by a fish when snorkeling in the great barrier reef. It almost looked like a poisonis one, but Im still alive 4 years later :D

Basikly if you take caution instead of being parranoid and respect the animals youll hafve a great time. I hope to live in Australia for a few more years in my life time... AMAZING country.

ps: The Aussies don't know understand how we live with bears in our back yeard.

Did you see any redbacks? Maybe it's just because I spent so much time in the outback, but I ran into about a dozen of them. The only scary one was the one that fell on my boyfriend's face while he was underneath the car. *shudder*
