meh this is what happens when you give cash to the corporate whores of the computer industry...

I can pick up basic brand new computers for 400 dollars easily.... however a computer with it with the same specifications and only has a label of "DELL" or "HP" will sell it for triple that....

heat is the number one killer of electrical components

build up of dust will cause heat to rise

Every few months i take apart my comp and blow out all the dust

I wired up a 2nd fan for my cp, only a few extra bucks.

I have a 120mm fan infront of my two SATA drives and a 80mm fan in front of my IDE drives, I have two 120mm fans for exhaust (plus the 120mm fan on my PSU) and I use a 90mm x 30mm fan from an IBM server for my CPU fan. it keeps everything nice and cool.

"But isn't it horribly loud?" you ask?

well it would be, but I found out that Lordcore sells adhesive sound dampening sheets (6"x24") a 12 pack is only $20 (if you know somebody who works there it's under $5). I covered both sides of my case, the top and the bottom (all on the inside of the case). The affect on heat is truely minimal and my PC is now nearly dead.

'course it weighs about 60lbs now....
