So today I decided after work to grab a little bite to eat had 10 dollars in the wallet from the 20 that got split but it just didn't feel right... the texture of it and all looked at it an it looked like an incident where someone probably accidentally washed there wallet with there clothes or it got wet one way or another.... but there were strange blotches on it... dunno if anything else may have gone on it or such.... so I decided to go to the bank and sure enough the 10 dollars it a counterfit.... about a millimeter or 2 smaller and when they took there special pens and shit and looked for spots they couldn't find anything..... On the nice side they took that counterfit as me questions where I may have got it (most likely from work cafeteria) filed it and gave me a legit one.... This bill however when I looked at it was done pretty good.... but ya... interesting moment for the day.

I saw 5 counterfit bills at the end of my Abiza night in City Limits under a black light - it just makes me sick that people are so cheap.

Lol what a waste of time making counter theft 10 and 5 dollar bills.

They should just get a bunch of American dollar bills, bleach them (so the bill stays the exact same size/material) and print American 20's. Getting a template for a American 20 is as simple as having a really good laser printer and a great scanner (photo shop skills help out alot as well). Its so easy to use American counter theft bills in Canada especially the 20's.

When you use conter theft Canadian bills you usually don't get away most of the time, or the bill gets taken away. Sometimes it works if the clerk is really dumb. American is the way to go in canada, but I'm just guessing.

People should be honest and shit, just go to work and eran the money its not that hard.

2 easy tests to check is
1) the water test: drop water on and if it rolls off real but if it bleeds into the paper fake.
2) also you should be able to scratch the bill and feel the ink is just slightly raised on the real stuff

I mean, really, it could LOOK real, but does it FEEL real? It's not hard to tell.

Maybe for bad fakes
But there are fake bills out there that can stump alot of people! And not all tests as mentioned by Sue work!
If its an obvious fake then yea, dumb ass cashiers, if its a good fake, sometimes you cant blame them too much!
