Cubase .. audio clipboard?
Weird question, but this beat Im making only has like 7 channels so far, nothin too complex and its just maxxxin out my processor .. every time I open it , I can barely get around to doing things because of the laggyness. Normally I can make a song with like 10+ channels and never have any issues at all.
ive restarted all that good stuff, I just wonder is there a place where you can clear out maybe like a clipboard , or somehwere audio clips are being saved I brought in a huge pink floyd sample and then erased it , Im thinkin thats it? |

Sounds like its time for a new machine with at least 1.5 gigs of RAM!
And yeah doing an Audio Mixdown of the sounds you want will take major load off of the CPU. Make sure to remove the VST from the VST INSTRUMENTS (F11) window and freeze the effects on the Midi Channel! |

ok I did the wave thing.. just highlighted the whole even and "bouce selection" .. then it swapped it over to a wav file, is that the correct way?
either way.. after that and the freezing of vsts the project is back to normal and not super sluggish. thanks. |

To record, solo each track seperately, go to the audio mixdown under file and select 24bit, 44.1khz stereo interleaved. Make sure your recording markers are set for the length of the song starting at 0 as a reference. The track should then be mixing down with the effect.
Then import the newely exported part back into the song via. the pool. Create a new audio track, drag and drop. Delete the old track that was causing your computers CPU to slow down. Repeat as necessary. On a lighter note, oh how I envy some producers. I am listening to garage soul from 2002 and it's not too bad considering. What a lot of work these talented people have done to make dance music a thriving force in the music world. I aspire to create song nearly as good as professionals. Good luck! |
