Wow, that sounds kinda confusing.

This is exactly why I think Stanton Warriors are freaking tools. What exactly is it about a non-four-on-the-floor beat that makes their remixes so special? Seriously, all they ever do in just about any of their remixes is take some popular house track, remove the four-on-the-floor and replace it with a breakbeat. There's really not much skill involved in it and they never really elaborate much on the original concept. It's like a cheapout for anybody who calls themselves a "breaks" dj and just segregates the ideas of breaks from all other genres of music more.
Why be a "breaks DJ"? Why not just play music if it's good and not DEMAND that every track in your library have a breakbeat?
edit: better yet, get some actual breaks (like the breaks in the songs of old funk records) and just LAYER those on top of the house song, instead of letting the record do it for you?
