The Official Shambhala 2007 Thread.
Maybe this is a bit early, but…. Who’s going this year? What are you looking forward to? What do you think they can improve on etc, etc.
I’m looking forward to the FUNK... a little birdie told me about some of the funk that will be in the forest this year..... its all good baby!

I'll be there.... and some of the rumours flying around this year are def. good ones. Krafty Kuts, Dieselboy, Heavyweight Dub Champions.... plenty more names floating around too.
Either way this festival is an amazing experience regardless of who plays there. As for improvements? I don't know if they have much to improve on really. Stages tend to expand more every year (decoration and the such) so that's good. They've capped the number of tickets which is also a good thing. The only real improvements that need to be made are 1: MY CAMP and 2: MY LACK OF EFFORT IN REGARDS TO BRINGING COSTUMES. Both of those will be remedied this year :)

I really hope they have enough washrooms for the volume of people this year... please don’t shit in places other than the shitters people..... stepping in human poo, is well... shitty
Lol, I seen a group of people camped RIGHT beside the outhouses… it was hard not to comment on it…

I think they're done with 'local' submissions.
I know they've finalized most headliners & associated paperwork. Also, the local returning DJs & acts are receiving their paperwork atm too. Manousos and I went last year. We coordinated all the spank-tastic fashion music, then we banged out some chunky house, wobbled on lumpy grass, yelled at drunken loud albertans, avoided the ravers, Drum & Bassed, split my gut to the fungineers fashion show in the safety of my magical hoolahoop (heh), embrassaed Amanda at her set at 5AM Monday with raver wigs & screaming pals (Im too old for that now :) ) and 2 days later I was done & very much hippied-out. We may be fashion show summoned again this year but otherwise Im not sure I can handle all the above again this year. haha.

i bought my ticket for shambs 07 as soon as they were available. it's tucked away in a safe spot!!!!!
The most exciting thing about shambhala for me is the vibe/atmosphere. It's you and your closest friends experiencing one of the most amazing parties in the world. The only responsibility for the next week is to relaxe, respect, and enjoy yourself. Go dance to some music, eat some yummy food, check out artwork/crafts/goods, chill with your friends, meet new interesting people...etc. whatever you wanna do, as long as your having fun! not to mention the huge rumors for this years lineup... z-trip, dieselboy, dj skream, krafty kuts, bassbin twins, and tipper - to name a few.

like Shaun said they have made all the improvements already. for me I have some add ons to our campsite that will be really nice and a couple cool ideas for costumes. other than that I'm trying to get a softball game going on Thursday afternoon and you should all come.
other than that it's all about Z-TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It'll be my first. Already have some costume ideas in the works.
I heard that Tipper has been booked already... if that's true, I'm looking forward to that the most. I hope Bassnectar and StickyBuds are playing this year as well... other than those three, I'm happy with whoever else is playing. Last edited by tiedye; Mar 22, 07 at 07:43 PM.
