crossfader curves

some mixers have curve switches for the crossfaders.

i know this is used for scratching , but what exactly are the diif. types of curves and how are they used?

I bought my mixer in like 98 andit was the first to have a fader curve..
You can switch the fader to have a curve meaning as you move the fader to the other side the channels 1 & 2 fade together gradually..

OR you can change the fader to have no curve meaning that as soon as you move the fader slightly open on one side, the other channel is completely on... This is what all the skratchers use....

not that i know of?? I hate skratching on mixers like that...

I suggest getting a new mixer. Most new mixers have the curve adjustment on them
