anyone else heard this album? i love it. some of the coolest stuff from tobin, i think. sounds all industrial and almost carnivalesque at times. a really dark carnival where they might go into the audience, pick someone and then dismember them.

Have yet to find a single Amon Tobin album I haven't thoroughly enjoyed beginning to end. This is no exception.

long time amon tobin fan and i absolutely loooove the album.
i've already chosen a song for my wedding and my funeral from it.

i don't get the carnival imagery that you do, jake... to me it's dark but sooo beautiful at the same time. the contrast between melodic classical instruments and glitchy chopped up techy samples is pushing boundaries from either side.

ugh, i can't find the words.
if you haven't listened to it yet, you're missing out.

i get the carnival stuff mostly from the first two songs: bloodstone and esther's.

the dark sounds combined with the piano make it sound like a creepy big-top carnival to me. picture dark twisty trees, weird animals and stuff. maybe i'm just fucked up and morbid.

the whole album is dark and beautiful though.
