Ive heard a few MCs say different things. But they're all the same. The only MC Ive heard in years sound different and good is Lady Dame. She sure knows how to rock it right, IMO! |

I used to enjoy Matt MC Rucus. he didn't say much but did rhyme a little here and there and mostly acted as a proper MC. by that I mean he laid back and let the DJ do his thing but at the right moment would engage the crowd to increase the energy level. he would also introduce a DJ at the beginning of their set and say good bye at the end of their set (master of ceremony...).
over all though I'd rather just watch a really good DJ with out an MC. as far as names what about that guy Tyler from Langley or Abbostford I think who was kind of tall and lanky. I saw him clear the floor a couple times with his skills on the mic |

^ you talking about Dice? man if you thought his MCing was bad, you should have heard him DJ :-\.
MC Effect from back in the day was pretty good actually. I love hearing ill-esha MC but she's more of a singer/MC than the traditional jungle MC. I think too many MCs just don't know when to shut the hell up. They should be there to enhance the DJ and not just chat all over everything. I've played with many MCs that just keep going and going - even when there are vocals in the tracks :-\. The *absolute* worst is when there's like 2 or 3 MCs vying for the mic at a show. They just keep going and going and going and going trying to outdo each other completely oblivious to how terrible it sounds... |
