You couldn't drag me there. The infrastructure is always terribly underprepared, and there's way too many people there. Call me weird, but I tend to enjoy dancing at this kind of festival, and that act is now impossible at every stage. However, if I was going, here's who I'd love to see:
Bassnectar Bonobo Cheb i Sabbah DJ Kev With Shamik DJ Vadim w/ Deuce Eclipse and Yara Bravo Drop The Lime Filastine Fort Knox Five vs Thunderball Gang.a Giri Mat the Alien Skratch Bastid The Glitch Mob Zen Media I can't believe Drop The Lime and Filastine are going. Drop The Lime is going to blow your fncking heads off, and Filastine is a man in line with DJ/rupture (also assured to kill you where you stand). Both of them are a million times more interesting than Pendulum and Ed Rush. Bonobo is a big one too. I'd make a special effort to check that out. I've already seen Gan.ga Giri, The Glitch Mob, Bassnectar, Mat The Alien, and Zen Media, but they're worth seeing over and over. |

No, I merely wish to do more than pogo. You can't dance at Shambhala. Every stage is packed ass to balls. Great music, sure, but I'm not paying $150 to get bumped around for three days. Too many people; not enough toilet paper. C'est la vie. If you like it, good for you. Play safe and/or remember where the freak-out tent is.

That's where I'm going. I went last year and thought the music was pretty good (the main stage had the best sound, and the others do need to step it up). Although they can't compete with headliners, it's worth it to me for the vibe. There's a lot less people, way less sketchies, and you never have to look for room to bust a groove. Dr. Alex Patterson was life-changing for his chill set. I'm thankful for having witnessed a legend.
