I just got home! the only thing I plan to do different next year is stay at a hotel/resort for a few days right after and then go camping for another week or so. pictures soon.

dumb rumor, it took 10 years to build Shambhala, things have just begun!!

Seriously though consider the permanent infrastructure that exists. Common sense would tell you the festival is here to stay!

Actually, common sense tells me that nothing is forever, and everything comes to an end eventually.

I think every year since 2001 has had rumors of it being the last year. Untill there is some big official notice plastered all over the website, best chance is it's all rumors, like always.

I sincerely hope the rumous aren't true.

But I have read that officially there will be new smaller parties "Shambhala on the road" scattered throughout Western Canada. They won't be anything like the real deal Shambhala, but I'm sure we can expect the top notch quailty that goes with the Shambles name.

The only downside about Shambhala is that now every other party I go to sucks ass in comparison. I recently went to a party and it looks like there was just no effort put into it.
Money yes, but effort no. The great thing about Shambhala is those tiny details that they pay great attention to that make a world of difference.

I've been meaning to go for the last couple years, but I just never got the time off. I'm finally going this year. :)

I briefly considered not going this year, then I came to my senses. I'm disappointed I missed out on the real early-birds (for $110 or so), but Shambhala is still worth every penny. I got in on the early-birds for about $100 last year, but I totally forgot about it this year.
