M.I.A. last night

hey all,

so who went and what did you think?

It was my second time seeing her, first time opening for LCD Soundsystem in 2005. I was quite happy with her performance back then. Amateur, yes, but she was giving it all she had. Obviously she is more seasoned now, so she was definitely different on stage... different energy, more professional in a way... but the crowd of people on stage, combined with the blown speakers made her totally botch my favorite song on her new album (Jimmy) and overall Low B kinda sucked in comparison to Diplo, not to mention the train wrecks (specially mixing Blue Monday into Jimmy.. I mean HOW hard is that? :-)

that was the rowdiest fucking shit i have been a part of outside a punk concert.
dancing drunk on stage with MIA after being nearly crushed between a speaker and hundreds of sweaty crazed fanatic girls was pretty alright.
low b was whatever.
speaker must've been blown on the other side... that or i damaged my hearing too much to notice.
if you weren't elbowing to breath and dripping in other ppl's sweat i'm sure it was a different experience. i like her videos too.
totally going back to do it again tonight.
yes it is my birthday all week!

I saw MIA at vegoose in vegas.
I will have to say I was very impressed with her show and stage presence.
Her dj was sick as fuck too.

Anyways I was rather impressed considering how many not so impressed reviews I read from her previous show. She was just as gong-ho crazy, if not more, than I expected her to be. I thought both her herself and her back up dancer/singer were great both vocally and charisma wise. A very original show. Low B was a disappointment, from the start you could tell the bad sound was coming from the DJ. Too much bass, than too much treble, than too much bass again. I understand the genre is rather bassy, but I could of swore I saw M.I.A. going up to her dj and playing with the cues. Speaking of which does anyone know what the sub titles read in the beginning? I was too short to see :(
