As for fruity loops... Well... Dubstep is known to be produced with FL. Skream is a frequent user of it. And he also uses Logic. But really what it comes down to is "How" you use the tool and how you layer out your samples,instruments and patterns.

Ableton Live is pretty much the industry standard insofar as software-based production goes. Never used it myself but if/when I start fucking around with loops (I grew up on Impulse Tracker. Samples are my life) it'll probably be in ableton
Live PAs are all over ableton too as it lets you control hardware synths in addition to any softsynths you have it plugged into. |
