I listen to a lot of the songs on the soundtrack because I have the original cds they came with on my comp (music for the jilted generation, dubnobasswithmyheadman, leftism) but I haven't listened to the actual cd itself in a while.
That shit introduced me to most edm. Kinda fell apart at the end. The last song and that Wannabe-Rage track are painful.
TBH Mortal Kombat Soundtrack was my consolation prize for them not releasing the Hackers Soundtrack in North America at first. I thought it was coo, KMFDM and that Juno Reactor/Traci Lords track are awesome. But a lot of the heavier industrial I wasn't so huge on. Some of it ruled though.
Hackers had some better tracks on it but very little sucked on MK.
heh Both Hackers one and Two were both playlists that I did my best to collect on vinyl. I managed to find 80% of the singles and yes they do get played from time to time.
And while we're talking rave soundtracks, who remembers this little 1992 gem?
