hey people im a dj/producer/prmoter for the past 7 years in montrel/toronto/ottawa region and well i just moved here and i notice NO hardsound is being pushed in peoiple eardrum wtf about that ????????

so msg for freeform hhc / mash up / terrocore / gabber stuff ( if you a re a dj and want to hang out n play or a promoter and want to trow hardsound stuff here im all for help n play out ... )

Used to be a minor scene around here, but then some Ottawa kid took a piss all over it so the rest of the DJs lost interest. Most of the party people into the music just go south of the border and hit up the parties, that are still going relatively strong, down there.

Hardcore got replaced by dnb a long time ago in this city.

well i dont see why it would so far everyone i tlak too hate the scene here ...so before hating it imma make it a scene actually so many people i met that want to go out and hear hardsound ( as much hhc has speedcore/gabber or breakbeat hardcore and even hardstyle) but they say tehre is none ....

so i tough people were smart here or somehting and woudlnt get on ma ss for asking where the hard stuff was ... but no i got to have people bitching laready cuasei wat to bring it in town ... well im sorry for not jumping on the trendy bandwagon of dubstep or anything thast trendy right now ( sorry but where were u guys when dubstep n grime were merging n well alive 5 years ago NO WHERE ! why is it all cool now !?!?! well c ause its gone mainstream sorry for not jumping on youre mainstream wagon and well the resitance is here from now on ... renegades party in town soonish stay tuned for info and busted eardrums for sure

btw 89 to 95 era jungle or hardcore soundz is called old skool rave or breakbeat hardcore my friend ;P

get yorue history str8 its comes from the same places :P it evoled in different gendra later on to jungle / dnb on on side and into hhc / gabber / bouncy hardcore techno on the other

most of the people in the dubstep scene here have been pushing the sound for a while and have also been pushing the sounds that influenced dubstep (raggae, dub, d'n'b, experimental, etc). and although popular in the underground dubstep is far from mainstream.

give 'er tits trying to build a hardstyle scene here. these people are just informing you that this isn't the town for it. vancouver has a complicated nightlife dynamic and this isn't a techno "build it and they will come" age in this city.

the scene here is pretty small. The genre's that are popular here don't get the support from your average clubber as is. The people that are into dance music do a good job of supporting, but there isn't enough people to support every genre.

I don't see Hardcore being a big thing in Vancouver ever. You are very passonite about that kind of dance music, but your fighting a lost battle.

and well all i can tell is a scene is buildable you know ..... get new kids they dig it ..... well so far we are couple of peeps moved down from montreal planning to make something of van city like we did in t-dot or mtl .. i dont see why all the hate .. gosh !

I used to listen to hardcore, hardstyle, and a bit of freeform and breakbeat...

But then i grew out of it because its really not good music.

Now i listen to electro house, trance and all the mixes and mashes of the two. Alot of other genres produce good dance music that makes it big here and there, but for the most part... blah..

I find it pretty hard to dance to 190 bpm hardstyle... plus that is such a junkie music... its the sorta shit that makes its way into all those sketchy looser raves they have around here all the time. A bunch of 16 year olds running around shirtless bombed out of their mind thinking they are gangster.

Go to the clubs, as lame as they are, and enjoy a more grown up responsible dance scene. Tonic is actually pretty dope now on sats with dj meesh and guests.

But yeah, not to bash it because i once loved it.. but really.. its shitty music man.. its all about the coke/e/meth, thats the only reason that music has appeal. In reality its to much noise for any one person to handle well sober or drunk.
