Part 1: The Podcast Attention Producers, If you haven't heard of us yet, the SHAHdjs are predominantly a drum and bass crew from Vancouver BC, and we are completely inspired to promote and expand all forms of electronica, especially the newer emerging genre's collectively referred to as Bass Culture. Many independent artists / labels have the talent to be recognized world wide as leaders in the field. We hope to help this process by creating a place for people to access the newest and latest music that may be hard to find. We hope to: • Build a database of artists, their music, their contact/websites and other necessary information as a central place for fans and promoters to find what's new and worth their attention. • Obtain tracks of your choosing in confidence with the intent of promoting you, and the entire scene to as wide a market as possible. Your tracks have the potential to be profiled: • on our streaming podcast with all relevant info made available. • on a dedicated section of our website with all relevant info made available. • at our live shows from the SHAHdjs crew. All tracks given can come with additional requests or restrictions (not to be played on podcast, or posted on website etc.) All requests will be binded by contract for your assurance. All music given to the SHAHdjs will remain strictly in the hands of SHAHdjs. No music will be reproduced / replicated, shared or made available for download. If requested, we will remove any given track from our library immediately. Ultimately, our goal with this is to increase Vancouver and Canada's reputation as being on the edge of new music, and to help our best producers get the recognition that they deserve. The podcast will not be limited to can-con, but it will be the focus. If you know of other independent producers please pass this message along to them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Part 2: Production Contest The purpose of this contest is to launch our podcast which is meant to profile and promote independent talent alongside recognized talent world-wide. I am a bit curious at the "newer emerging genre's collectively referred to as Bass Culture." I haven't heard that before. I do live in the sticks though... Been awhile since I stopped by here anyhoo - hey dudes. Whats up. |
