My MP3 ftp Site -Share and share alike!

You can upload your demo mp3's (and cuefiles) to my ftp server and I'll host them for you.

Here is the fine print:

1) Go to the upload folder and create a folder with your stage name and upload into that folder.

2) The set will be up for 120 days from date of posting unless other arrangements are made with me.

That's it.

For brower users type (or click this link) ftp://form:kaos@mchammered.nailed.org:69/uploads and it should get you into get to the upload area directly.

Please read the extra rules of access posted below.

Myles and I will work on a page to make links from F&K to my ftp server in the new year.

It is strange that you couldn't make a directory to upload to since other have been doing that already.

You can't make a directory in the default area, you have to change to the '/uploads' virtual directory where you will then have write access rights.

I'm primarily a trancehead but there are breaks and house/progressive house on my ftp site.

Feel free to look around and download. If you have anything you wish to share please put it in the "uploads" folder.

**NOTE!! You cannot create a folder in the regular FTP area! Only in the "uploads" folder!! **

** UPDATE! 05/01/03 **

As always there will be those who wish to abuse things and I have fallen victim to such people.

I do not mind people d/l files for your enjoyment as this is why I set the FTP site up in the first place. However, systematically leeching off Gb's of data is something I don't care to support.

Because of this I have reconfigured the site to limit d/l's to a 700Mb per session. If one cares to upload some files and this ratio will obviously be increased.

You are also limited to ONE download session as to avoid leeching. If you hammer my ftp server with more requests your ip will be automatically banned by the ftp server software.

I am sorry this needs to be done but I feel that this allows equal oppourtunity for everyone to access the limited bandwidth I have to host the site.

If I find users that still abuse the site I will ban your ip.

** Update 05/04/2003 **

It seems that my anonymous ftp information has been leaked and people are uploading warez and trying wacky access attempts to hack into my system.

In order to stop this I have changed access to the ftp site as stated above to require a username and password for access.

I just setup a static hostname for the site at mchammered.nailed.org so I don't have to worry about posting ip address changes anymore.

Depending on the ftp client you are using you should be able to find the setting in the 'Advanced' tab of the program options.

whats wrong w/ the ferry corsten video? when i first downloaded, i couldnt run it... that was until i downloaded that m2v codec. then after i install it... the video works, but only up to 41 seconds, then it stops running. any clues?

Which mpeg player are you using. I had to use the Elcard 2 one and it plays the video fine.

Also how much of the video did you get? It should be about 600Mb in size.

i use windows media player... the latest version. i downloaded exactly 593mb. hmmm... actually it gets stuck on 42 secs, but after like 5 minutes of waiting around, then it starts to play! hmmm weird... i'll try the elcard 2 in the future.

You can find the Elecard MPEG player in the video folder.

Also the file size for the video is 622,346,240 bytes so it seems your file is a bit undersized.

I got the elecard from download.com, and it works fine now, thanks. But I've downloaded the video twice already, and both times the file size has shown up 593mb. Oh well, it's a cool video anyway.

copy n paste this into yer browser bar. The video isn't full tho less than a quarter from what its supposed to be, just a tease, you know what I mean... :kam: the whole thing is roughly about 700 mgb.
