Together Cinto and Neutron form Busta-beat...
I believe that as far as Busta-Beats Shiny Disco Balls remix goes, that was produced primarily by Neutron however did have Cinto's creative input. I do know that a few of Cinto's tracks are set to be released on the Bustabeat label... stay tuned for that... I personally like the track... It is simple... and clean - that's the best thing about it. Some of the stuff Cinto is producing these days blows my mind. Don't get me wrong... I don't like it all as I am not a huge Electro fan but just the complexity of the tracks and the level of creativity and skill that Cinto has is awesome. It's not for everyone, but rather that consistently slamming the guy for producing his own tracks in the style that he wants to, encourage and support him. If you don't like it, that's kewl but respect him for the fact that he is doing it. The scene needs more DJ's and producers like him. Peace. |

oliver's not a scene whore. he's just really into music and knows a lot about it :) it's what he loves to do, so he tends to know a lot about it...and it doesn't stop at just "rave" music. he just knows his shit.
no need for the effrontery, guys. |

busta beat is just the name of spices bootleg label, much like mr smith who spice also presses and distributes for brad smith.
however disko breakin was done by neutron, not eric. and check out sharaz twentymotherfuckinfive for 1977 a sick housey break of shiney disco balls. oh shit, i said too much... |

Once again, being able to see beyond your own opinion on the matter is a valuable thing sean. try it sometime. |

Well i figure i can step into this now, being as the vast majority of this is about me!
1- I am 1/3 of busta beats! 2- Shiney Disco Balls (the boot) was done by Neutron, and from my own "personal" opinion it is well done and at least he didn't nab the original for the patterns. all he used was one simple line from the song! 3- sean! i'm sorry man, but i play what i like, just like any other dj in the world. If you don't like it why the FUCK are you playing it! also if it is soo out of date then why does it still do me well with bookings, crowd response, and music production? just a simple question. 4- mikey it's too bad that everyone can not be as cewl as you in the whole party scene info/news... Oliver is a very good friend of mine and this is why he knew soo much about it. He also is a magnificent producer and dj who works he ass off and i respect that about him very much! 5- to everyone who feels like they know what's best in the scene meaning music and knowledge in it all can really go screw themselves for the reason that the scene is and was all about having an open mind to music. If you don't well it's too bad and you are being very selfcentered and being an ass. Once again to each their own and that's that! Cinto... PS... personally it's great to know what you guys think about me. but until i start dissing people about music/djing tactics/personallity/etc. on here i feel no need for you guys to publicly diss me aswell. that i do take personally. so if you do have something to say to me please feel free to e-mail me, call me, come talk to me at a show, or anything. aslong as you talk to me and no one else. this also includes a special one person on this site, and they should know who they are, can you please just stop dissing me cause i aint sayin shit about you! if you do have a problem, call me cause you know my number, if not you know where to get it! :keebler: Last edited by Cinto; Feb 05, 03 at 02:22 AM. |

Cinto, that was a classy response.
However, vancouver is one of the only cities still booking the florida sound. Tony faline, sharaz, spice, may still be big names in vancouver and parts of the states, but if you ask someone who they are in australia, europe, s.africa, singapore, they'd give you a "whoyoutalkin'bout?" look. I dont know why in vancouver we're still holding onto the sound. Its in the same league as hardhouse, but at least that died. I respect the fact that you're getting your stuff signed. You're not just some guy playing records and thats it. Im not exactly saying that florida breaks are crap, cause for the most part they're fun. Stuff DOES get overplayed, and trends come and go. Florida breaks got, and are getting overplayed, and ppl like ryan, and czech are playing different stuff. Maybe the rest of the djs on this board need to get with it. peace |

wiggles: thnx... but that's sortah what i'm saying though. the to each their own comment. I do know what you are talking about. you know i do and am gettin overseas bookings.
also... I don't only play florida breaks, sure it may be my primary genre of music, but it's not all i play. I play anything that is breaks. I'm not one of those people who is just gonna drop something that i've beens spining for year now. I realize that there are a lot of fl. brkz. djs on the market and they/we play a lot of the same stuff thus is why i rarely go record shopping now and play the vast majority of my set as my own music or a lot of unreleased traks to try and keep it fresh. I also like to drop traks that were released a few years back for some flava and memories. and i occationally drop an all nu-skool set aswell, so I, like many others, keep an open mind and enjoy all types of music. HELL i even put funky house and speed garage into my sets. I don't like to make the crowd bored so why not change it up a bit right! Well this may seem like a defence post, but i'm just tryin to prove my point! and it being that " I PLAY EVERYTHING" why, well cause i like it all! Cinto |

I never mentioned anything about you. I was talking about florida breaks.
Im REALLY into breaks. Everything with a break beat. Whether it be old motown, or james brown, or afrika bambaataa, or plump djs, or grooverider, and everything inbetween. There's A LOT of different breaks out there, but for the most part in this city, florida breaks gets played out (which after 3 years straight gets annoying.) As for the ppl slamming florida, i dont think its so much that they dont like the stuff. I think its more that they're pissed because its all that gets played. Just like hardhouse was two years ago. We just want to see some more variation is all. Instead of the big promoters booking spice, neutron, sharaz, tony faline, etc all the time, why not plump djs, soul of man, freq nasty, uberzone, sizzorkicks, city rockers, etc. switch it up! Quote:

I know you weren't slamming me... I never said you did!
also i agree with the whole bringing in different talent... we do try to do this, but it's very hard to book them cause they get booked fast and way in advance so we take what we can get, not to say that we don't try and bring in some of the fl. djs. we get the djs we get for a reason right! but yes.. i'm glad someone sees what i'm talking about! |

Because our club scene here isnt developed enough, twisted's pretty much the only one in the position to bring in big name talent on a regular basis. Vancouver's a big city. Book ppl earlier then "way in advance." put out the effort. ppl arent dumb. ppl know when you guys cop-out on a lineup, and when you put in some effort (like it looks like you're doing for twisted 2003.) That breaks headliner you bring in IS a big deal. I hope you use your heads... |
