paul van dyk's politics of dancing
i bought this cd over a year ago, and i have to say that its pretty dope. it has made me realize that there is still a place in my jaded raver heart for trance. right now just listening to it has me hyped..im about to go off liquid dancing like crazy hahaha, and i have a strong desire to do a cap of e..hahha
anyway this cd has a history behind it..apartently good old paul felt that alot of the trance coming out at the time was shit(i agree) so he picked the tracks which he felt were of the highest quality and fit his personal style..then he edited them. he resequenced alot of the basslines and synths into something he felt more suitable for the mix, and then he mixed em into this two cd compilation. i have to say its pretty dope, i wanna go to a plaza party now, chances are im gonna listen to this cd before i go to twisted and pop three caps..hahaha..being a junkie is cool/ |

^ Yah the 2nd cd was good.. hist first Cd sucked.. if you read the insert on the the CD case his ideals for the raving community are bang on.. I used to hate PvD till I read what he had to say.. It gave me a new respect for the man..
/me has stopped listening to trance cause all the new shit is so cheesy... |

Heh, 90% of the trance records that get released are garbage, but it's always been that way. There are still more than enough quality tracks produced to lead to a non-cheesy set, cheese just seems to be the weapon of choice for most local DJs unfortunately.
