How can you put Hip-Hop and Trip-Hop 2gether? There not really similar genres of music. VJ, on this board most people seem to listen to a variety of music.

But if you really must know what type of genre I listen to. In no particular order I enjoy:

Funky Breaks, Breakbeats, Funky House, Disco House, Dnb, Jungle, Hip-Hop, Rap, Rnb, Jazz, Funk, Ghetto-Tec, some forms of hardcore because its kinda cheesy. Pretty much anything funky that'll get your feet moving.

I object in a HUGE way to Trip-hop being on the same line as hip-hop! There are not the same at all. I hate hip-hop but trip-hop is with out a doubt my favourite genre. Triphop is hard to explain and sure there are a lot of hiphop beats in it but a lot of it is electronica. Please tell me how you put Portishead, Massive Attack, Gus Gus, etc. with hiphop?

Sorry if I went off here but triphop is my love.
Besides triphop, I’d have to go w/ breaks, funky/disco/booty house, speed garage and UKG.

You mean Bristol right? I'm a definite Bristol fan. But I consider Portishead to be Bristol. Portishead, Tricky, Massive Attack and Smith and Mighty are all from there. So I'm a little lost on this whole NYC stuff.
