Hmm.. only 5. Well here is mine in no particular order. Keep in mind some of these have been here.
Sharaz, Infiniti [I can only hope. :soak:], Dj Hyper [Progressive Breaks!!], Dave London & Simply Jeff. I would like to see Simply Jeff, Big League Chu & Czech do a 3 way. Jeff & Chu did a 2x in Toronto when I was there last summer. I missed it though. :soak: `t1m |

in response to the whole "Vancouver DJ's only have 5 records"... I spin breaks... I have more than 5 records... by a long shot... and I carry them myself... DJ hoes don't have the muscles to carry enough records LoL |

jeeeee-sus. anyways, it does have a grain of truth. vancouver's breaks scene is very incestuous with its records. except for the well established (czech) or people doing live pas, the lack of available breaks tracks severely limits the ability of vancouver breaks djs to sound different. "hot tracks" last about a week or two, and then everyone has them. last time i heard anything interesting done with breaks in vancouver was the trickler collective back in 2000-ish, when nu skool was in its infancy and they were the only ones playing it out. im my opinion, i havent really heard anything fresh in so long. the big tracks just seem to be the '80s remix of the month' (use your love, sweet dreams remix, ...), or some hip-hop sample fest. but hey, breaks is popular with the rave-goers, so what do i know? im just one opinion of many. i havent been interested in them since incog started playing prog house at e2. i guess they're just too dance orientated for me, strictly for the booty, nothing for the head. yip yip yip blah blah.
