i knew that was coming.....and i somehow felt that Paul Van Dyk is not too far away from Tiesto in the list...looks like i'm right....i wonder when Tiesto will come to Van. Paul Van Dyk came last yr or beginning of this yr..right?...

i'm already upset that i missed Darude at IMF cos i didn't went..there's no way i won't go to a rave where there's gonna be Tiesto

it's justa dumb as if there was a '2003 GREATEST BANDS' list.

the most commercial and advertised music gets the top spaces. it's an exercise in who the fuck cares.

ffs I don't see why people always complain about this damn list. It's a popularity contest... big fucking deal. Look at what PvD and Tiesto have done this year as far as tours, productions, promotion,,, to me it's no suprise that they got the top spots. Same with Armin and his tour schedule/radio show. Like it or not these 3 guys headline all the biggest shows in the world and are all very popular established producers. That is why they're at the top, not because of thier technical ability. That being said,,, I'm happy with the results although would have been nice to see PvD take it for once. Also... get used to seeing Armin's name up there,,, he deserves it =)

how did krafty not make it this year... i would've thought he moved up in the rankings this year instead of drop out of them completely.... props to james zabiella for gettin #11

and how much does production credits play into this.. i see lots of producers that are nothing special behind the decks ranked farily high

voted by mixmag readers mostly who're mainly european and trance is huuge since theyve got such a big legendary list of amazing djs.

tiesto is pretty fuckin awesome though saw him play at the commodore last year and i'm sure hes still keeping up.

digweed is the man..... bedrock is seriously just straight up sick. its a whole league of its own.... totally different from the dutch n german pvd scenes... although pvd definetly gets special mention since his league is up there competing strong with bedrock and the dutch

paul oakenfold...... hahahhahaha so many absolutly love him but so many people also HATE him! hahaha he is a terrible mixer, but his track selection is seriously the BOMB!!! a true anthem dj who delivers the anthems for memorable moments
fuck i havent heard anything new from him in years but i still often turn up his creamfields mix from 99.... absolutly CLASSIC!

steve lawler.... the progressive house master. very deep and definetly needs a certain vibe to get into but once you are following his flow of things.... tripped out... his kiss 100 stuff is spot on... heard he does 5 hour sets regularly on a weekly basis at his clubnight somewhere in england....

havent heard enough of armin but gotta say hes an increbile producer.... communication... CLASSIC!

The top 10 is just horrid.

These peeps are like, the Jay-z and Britney Spears of Djing. As close to pop-stars as you could possibly get with electronic music.

Uh. Disgusting.

I saw Tiesto last year at the commodore and I can honestly say that it was the most positive vibe I have seen in Vancouver to date. DJing is not just about technical skill, it is also about how you can work the crowd up and Tiesto can certainly do that!

Thrillseekers are LOW and Lange ain't that high above em'

Johan Gielen should have been higher i think and same with Marco V.
I am happy with Ferry Corsten's spot though...

Yes yes obviously the list is not a true measurement of who the best "DJ" in the world is. Obviously productions seriously into play, otherwise M.I.K.E. wouldn't even come close to breaking the top 100. Take it for what it is: a popularity contest.
