maybe cuz that's what you, jim and ppcock are all trying to do, hmm?
is there any other purpose to making comments like the ones you are all making than to piss someone off and then laugh about how they're pissed off because you're sooo cool that you hit a nerve with your inane comments and childish banter? now stop making this topic lame, if you want to keep picking at me then do it in private messages and stop fucking up AWOL's topic, which is called "What is the BEST speedgarage track of all time?" NOT "Try to piss of Thanatos for no apparent reason" fuckin asshole wankers :finger: |

Not to Hijack this thread again but......
Thanatos Justin Timberlake is The man and to say he doesn't have talent is definately a uneducated/ignorant thing to say. He can dance and sing like a madman and even people like the lead singer of The Deftones (whose name I have forgotten) have jumped on the JT bandwagon. Im sure if you give Justin some software he could come up with a catchy bassline stormer speedgarage choon in a few months hell im sure any of us could. If I were to pick a track it would have to be Spin Spin Sugar. I don't like to put in the same class as speedagarage b/c most SG sucks but if I have to then thats my top choon. |

I admit Justin Timberlake can dance mad good if he puts his mind to it
and maybe some of his stuff's ok but honestly, I don't think he's that talented just because he's mad popular... I've heard a bunch of his stuff and it wasn't anything I would ever spend my money on that's my personal opinion and I'm entitled to it... I'm not trying to flaunt it in anybody's face, I'm not trying to make people who like his stuff feel stupid for liking it, I just don't enjoy his music... that's all... I noticed that Phunk Junkeez - Got Da Funk wasn't on that list of tracks being sold... tis a shame... that tune's ultra-funkula! the remix that Shift quoted is HOT |

"lets do trance for an example (basically i think speed garage sucks because it does all sound the same) now take two trance records. I will gurantee you there is no trance tracks that sound exactly the same. trance is to provide the listener with a euphoric sound and take a listener through a journey. "
Buahahah.. that's pretty funny man. A 52 minute set of trance sounds like one 52 minute track. Trance is the WORST for sounding the same man. I mean don't get me wrong I like both speed garage & trance, but if you think that no two trance records sound the same you're on crack. I'd say 80% of all trance I've heard (and i've been in this for 7+ years) has had very little difference in sound. Riff, lead, bass, or pad. It basically all sounds the same. Oh and PS: Mr. Spring - Voyager 1.56 Track Bums - Computer Dreams (RIP Nasty dub) DJ Renegade - Gangster PC Experience - Rien Ne Va Plus Double 99 vs. Another Level - Another Groove Toxic Twins - I'll house you (Hudia Mix) Just to name a few. FYI I have a speed garage mp3 cd for sale. This cd is full to the brim with classic 4/4 speed garage data mp3s (no uk garage crap). Stop searching the web for speed garage! All the old school rockers. $9.99 (VISA/MC/AMEX/MO/CASH/CHEQUE) PM me if interested :) Last edited by firestar; Nov 06, 03 at 10:16 PM. |

I enjoy Speed Garage in 30 minute spurts then grow anxious of a general lack of melody, as it tends to be very rhythm orientated music. So, as with many forms of music, 'tis good as a part of a whole, but tedious as the whole. *NOTE: Lack of melody is NOT a bad thing!!!!*
Still, 187 Lockdown managed to impress. Even though it's gotta be one of the most overplayed S/G anthems, I still get freaky with it. |
