Anyone heard of Prodigy's Jilted Generation?

If you have a chance download some The Prodigy's - Jilted Generation. One of the best techno cd's of all time.

Classic.

It's the album that turned me on to Electronica.

I'm very proud to own it on vinyl now.

Favorite tune is "3 Kilo's"

Ehhh. It's good stuff, to be sure, but nowhere near the calibre of awesome that is "Fat Of The Land", IMNSHO. :) Now *there* is a seminal techno classic.

With a touch of hip hop flava and punk sensibilities thrown in for good measure.

prodigy is nice.. but its so happy and violent. it's not music that works all the time.
hyperspeed is definately one if their best older ones. mindfields is my all-time favorite, though.

Kelly Charles.

My favorite track from that album would have to be Poison followed by Claustrophobic sting, and always Voodoo People.

I think Poison has the best acoustic drums I've heard layered down onto a techno track.

Mindfields. Too slow and not enough happening. Doesn't even hit it as "minimal" for me. Just big beat trite. I think that was my beef with Fat of the Land. About half the songs I really loved, but half of them (Mindfields, Smack My Bitch Up, etc.) were just uninteresting.

My two fav Prodigy tracks are Voodoo People and Out Of Space.

Charly and Fire are right up there. As is Your Love and pretty much everything on The Prodigy Experience.

Jilted's songs I think are better produced but I find Experience a lot more fun.

The last year has been rather quiet for Prodigy fans but finally Liam Howlett puts an end to all speculation and talks openly about the new Prodigy album in an interview directed at his fans. And it's all good news: the album is on its way, tracks are finished and Liam is decided to have it released this summer!

Click here to read all about it...

To get REAL technical, its GOOD MUSIC.

I kinda doubt they were thinking 'Yeah lets make a wicked oldskool breakcore/hiphop/punk rawk fusion album'

Otherwise they wouldn't have made such a mark on the dance music scene.
