Indeed there's some really good progressive stuff out right now...the new Markus Schulz CD and generally his radio show are exellent to listen to! Love Luke Chable's stuff atm, Ozgur Can some MIKE's stuff, the new remix by Gabriel & Dresden of Above & Beyond's 'No one on earth' is amazing,
Gwill Morris - Forme (Leama & Moore Remix)
Li Kwan - Point Zero (Leama & Moore Remix) with some spine chilling vocals
Ozgur Can - Irony
Michael Burns - Forwards
Powelrplant - Blame (Luke Chable Mix)
AvB - Burned With Desire (Markus Schulz Coldharbour Remix)
Crescendo - External Key
Oceanlab - Satellite (Markus Schulz Coldharbour Remix)
Nicola Gala - Swing To Harmony
to name a few...

Yeah Prism I'm also really feeling that new G&D remix, though I'd consider it to be more trance than prog.

I fricken love prog myself, everything from the housier stuff to the trancier stuff.

Great stuff to dance to. I've been able to dance to it all night on some club nights.

Mind, with redbull/vodka running through my bloodstream, I could probably dance to no-step ambientcore all night long.

I think the more your knowledge of music grows the more you will like music like tech house, progressive, downtempo. Each track is very similar yet each so different. I find the most amazing dj sets to be progressive, prog lets the dj take the dancer on that journey into the unknown.

I hated the shit until I stopped fast forwarding tracks to the breakdown. Every measure, you hear a new sound or a new instrument. Sometimes you have to concentrate so hard to hear it but thats where your ear development comes in. Funky house/ Funky breaks etc totally drop after the buildup leaving it up to the dj to continue the hype from that drop to the next. I find it so hard for most djs int his city to do that (another reason why prog turns me on). Prog doesnt nessecarly drop. It builds and builds and then withers away to a world of chill or takes another route.

stoned.

i personally cant stand anything progressive at a party. i wouldnt mind it so much in a lounge setting or something like that.

veni was right in saying that it gets really repetitive and boring

its a really hard genre to spin.... cuz its so easy to get the place asleep. Thats why some of the most respected djs in the world are world renown for spinning progressive house.

John Digweed is seriously the master of progressive. I fuckin love that guy! The music on Bedrock is just so fucking sweet..... love love love love it

i think prog is definately the the most rewarding and mature form of electronic music. throughout your path of love towards the form i think most will end
up having prog as their favorite. repeditive, only because your not listening.
its the subtleness that your not paying attension to. its what makes it so huge.
youll come to a time when your bored of wanting the music to make you cum
after endless anthems of mindless mayhem.... you'll mature and actually
start listening. someone mentioned the airdrawndagger cd, if you havent heard
it please buy it. its one the most beautifull pieces of work youll ever hear.
please dont get me wrong, i like most electronic music. i just believe prog
is the most rewarding if you take the challenge of getting to know it.

took the words out of my mouth.

I think if you have a love for electronic music and the love grows so will your love for progressive. Vancouver ravers have become totally dependant on anthem music which is a shame b/c it makes it harder for us who like to play obscure things once and a while to a crowd.

Live it, love it, breathe it, sleep it. Lot of wicked progressive stuff coming out lately, and right thru till the end of summer. I'll post some releases when I get a chance.
