i am going to be a dj and i am playing at my first rave on friday, the only problem is that i do not have any records.

does anyone have any that i can borrow?? it does not matter what type of music it is, just as long as it is rave music.

hey frogprincess, its great to see that u're pretty enthusiastic to becoming a DJ, but i ended up in the same problem with u back then when i began to dj

im not trying to discourage u man, but DJing in a party the first time Unprepared ***this means without minimum few monthes of practices, or even worst, no records to play***will end up in embarrassment. it does not only screw ur DJ name, it gv other ppl bad impression about u since u will 100% screw up for sure.....and ull go home afterward, feeling total failure, and ull probably hv nightmares of fuking up in ur first gig every once a while like i did......:123:

What the hell... this is a hilarious thread!!!

However... I got my first gig about a week after I bought decks... I only practiced about 5 times before that. To this day, I've played in 3 provinces, I spin 3 completely different genres, and I've been playing for just over half a year.

It takes almost nothing to play someone elses tracks. If you have a very musical background you just take to it naturaly. But to have NO records is just assnine (sp?)
