Id say Armin Van Buuren did well this year with his new album 76 and was the best trance producer.
Ferry Corsten also released several monster tracks, though i hate all of them. Gabriel and dresden have been less active than they were the previous year. the anjuna team has pumped out some solid tracks, but again, i dont like them. push/m.i.k.e has been very busy but hasnt done anything special i really like the rank 1 stuff nu nrg has been busy but inconsistent. cj stone has been great. |

That's funny I was just writing another post to fill in the holes I left and this guy^^^^ pretty well did it for me. He's got pretty good taste too.
I find it strange no one has mentioned John B yet. I don't like all his stuff but he definately has some evil ass tunes. I only really like a jungle tracks that hurt. Like Kryptic Minds. They got some evil tunes. |

Here's a few non-electronic producers to add a bit of variety:
Brian Wilson: The crazy Beach Boy who's Pet Sounds inspired Sgt. Pepper's... King Tubby: The inventor of dub. 'Nuff said. Brain Eno: Created wonderful ambient music but just look at what he did for U2. Amazing work. Prince: Sex. Funk. Rock 'n' Roll. Genius. Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Richard Wright, and Alan Parsons: Do I really need to explain...? |
