Best producer/s

Who do u think in ur preferred style of music is pumping out awesome productions last/this year?

for me, in DNB..

Silent witness.. with his new release on DSCI4, ringside/persuit, dark and dirty.. with a growling reece line in "ringside" .. expect some more darkness this year.

Gridlok.. what can i say? awesome.. almost every release has been a buy for me.. from Hotel, to the more recent Pacemaker/shallow, Heatwave, and the witch hunt collab he did with Controlled substance.. and now his new dubplate (compound rmx) ... damn he can do no wrong..

also look out for locals psidream & mechwarrior with there release on barcode.. stiches/last walk.

Pacific also doing it up on SLR/subtitles....

Habit and Armada recordings finally getting things rolling.. and DSCI4's release schedule looking prime for the '04.. don't sleep!

Sykonee will become famous soon enough
Oliver Lieb: The only guy that still gives trance a good name.

Toby Marks: Amazing producer. Trust.

Peter Benisch: See above. Trust.

Dan The Automater: Where would hip hop be without him?

Fritsch & Hastik: Guilty pleasures here.

Plenty more but these five tend to spring readily to mind whenever someone asks me who are the best producers out there.

Nice, I'll look those guys up and have a listen.

For hard techno, I like Hardcell, Glenn Wilson, Ignition Technician, Gaetano Parisio, Chris Liebing, Joel Mull, Cari Lekebusche, and Thomas Krome - tho some of those tend to lean more towards the deeper side of hard minimal techno... still, it's all das schöne maschine schranz... :)

Tho I've been listening to more acid these days - and I have to say, of everyone in the world, my current GOD of music is none other than D.A.V.E. the Drummer. I love this guy.

haha I always answer the same, but my favorite has always been teebee - he's done some pretty amazing things with the deeper side of dnb.

other favorites

the neptunes, timbaland/missy elliot (moreso because they pioneered a great sound that despite attempts, is never really duplicated), psidreeam (local hero who is doing lots of big things)

^^ bringing up range just reminded me that i forgot to mention Pendelum... those aussies produce a deeper track like back 2 you and spiral or even still grey.. then come out with an insane dancefloor stormer like another planet... expect a wide range of DNB and influences for their LP there working on for a fall release

i cant comment on most electronic producers because i havent really followed dnb or breaks for a year or two now. however ive been checking out psidream's stuff and it seems really solid.

heres my favorite producers as far as hiphop goes:

For House I would go with Steve Smooth, JJ Flores, Eric Prydz. I'm also getting into some awesome stuff that Seamus Haji has produced, real funky shit.

Both of them are on my favorites list as well. Actually, Christian Alvarez is my favorite DJ. The things that man can do with the funky disco house blows my mind.
