Ehhhh, it's definitely neat, but I'm always very wary of FX processors built into mixers. Folks that make good mixers tend to make good mixers, folks that make good FX processors make good FX processors. I'd be just as wary if suddenly Electrix or Red Sound suddenly came out with a DJ mixer. Maybe they're getting better at it these days, but historically, every mixer I've ever used that had FX built in, the FX were crap.

Not saying this isn't awesome - USB in a mixer is kinda cool, tho I'm not sure what it'd used for besides just the FX processor. The dual crossfaders is also pretty nifty.

Meh. I still say the ultimate DJ rig is two Yamaha SU-700's and an A&H mixer. :)

i'm gonna have to disagree with you, mux. The Pioneer DJM-600 is the industry standard for club/electronica acts specified on numerous contract ryders. Its fx unit is amazingly versatile, and IMO only beat out by pioneer's dedicated EFX-500.

I'm sure a lot of r&d went into this since the high end club/electronica mixer market is getting very competitive.

I finally got it last week :)

i've been putting it through the paces and its some seriously advanced shit. the usb lets you edit the fx on the fly with the edi_lab 1.0 software - its amazing :)

Processing wise it sounds a million times better then a pioneer, huge noticeable difference :)

The fx are way more versatile and are going to take some getting used to, but it can do a lot more then the pioneer, just going to have to work my way around the controls !

Hey Mux, i'll most likely bring this down to the listening room show with me if you wanna come over and check it out.

im going to have to dissagree with you Akeel.

More dj's that come to sonar ask for the allen and heath rather than the pioneer in their rhyder.

I think the point that Akeel was trying to get at is that the DJM 600 is the mixer that is most widley used in the rave/club scene today. To argue the fact of who's rhyders request which mixers is useless and pointless.

Money~
