ftp sites?

remember reading a list on here of good mp3 ftps. can't seem to find it or anything. A little help?

Winston's is good. It's pretty much the major base one for FNK.

There's some acid techno and some house there, not to mention some breaks.

It's mostly trance but Winston likes mostly trance. But it's his server so I believe a "neener neener" goes in there. I don't see you guys doing much else.

ive only ever uploaded breaks, house, and some dnb........its just that most of the users flood him with trance.

if someone were to do the same with another genre, im sure hed be quite happy so accomodate

In addition to Winstons server, we also operate a server that takes user submissions and allows downloads, although it's not an FTP. Click HERE to access it.

My ftp used to be all trance but now is predominately trance, house, progressive house with a growing base of hardhouse, breaks and dnb.

As other have said you just have to go dig a bit in the various folders, especially the user upload ones, since my layout is currently based on my original love of trance.

hey mchammered with your ftp is there a reason why i cant access some folders
you have priviledged folders or something

also is there any way to do a search on the entire ftp?

You should be able to access all of the folders on the ftp.

Maybe you are timing out and have to retry again as there is pretty steady usage on my ftp all day and night. My ADSL connection can only handle so many connections... or maybe my little p100 desktop that acts as the server needs to be upgraded. :(

Only way to do a search on my ftp is from my workstation at home. I don't know how to setup a seachable database for the files on the servers yet.

If anyone has any ideas I'm all ears.

hmmmm well thats weird
logging in seems to give me trouble using the username/password boxes
i usually just add the name:password@ in the address bar
it logs me in but then certain folders bring up the login box again
no idea//

I suggest using a proper ftp client like the WS-FTP LE I have on the site for download.

Using a browser usually ends up with wacky problems I can't resolve.
