there should be more movement in the choppy background synth, it should go all crazy and go way up into the high resonance area of the filter, hehe
the bass kind of starts to get drowned out when the other elements come into the tune, might want to EQ it so that it's not taking up the same space as your other sounds definately need to change up the sounds more and add some breakdown areas and hook lines and whatnot sounds like a fairly good base for what u eventually want it to be though |

Niceone! Your on hell of a producer. That lead is super trippy and the song is tightly sequenced.
Here are a few suggestions: 1. EQ the Bass and kick towards the midrange, about 5-10%. 2. Turn up the percusion,it's good, don't hide it. (Start your songs percussion like you ended it) 3. Add a punchy snare. 4. If your using midi, I suggest colliding notes. Use your sequencer on your gear at the same time as you punch in midi data and get some mad weirdness going on. 5. Pitch shift? Excellent job...need some help pm me, I could help you work this one out. |

just a side question? has anyone checked out some of the ambient tracks? I remember making the post and no one replying...
I've been adding more layers and other stuff to it, but at the same time I want to keep the track as dark and creepy as possible, so I don't want to flood it with too many synths and breakdowns... I tried adding guitars but the recordings weren't very cohesive so I'll do the guitar thing live if I get offered to a gig... some fast roll picking would be awesome... I'm thinking for my next project I'm going to use gun shot/bomb samples... good idea? |

Listening to the track right now.
first thing that comes to mind is that the kick is too far off. Bring it right to the forefront, maybe do some pitch envelope tweakage on it to give it more of a point. It should probably sound about as close as these hihats that just came in are. The rest of the layering is pretty good though. very good depth of field. One thing to remember with psytrance though... you can never edit/tweak with it too much! Don't ever settle for just the same loops over and over again. Make small changes every 2nd or 4th bar, or in whatever patterns you like. I find when I write psy, alot of the sequences follow somewhat of a rhyme scheme. bars 1 and 3 are pretty much the same, bars 2 and 4 are similar, but bar 4 has a bit extra fill in it. Then the pattern is repeated, with a bit more added in, maybe a slight increase in velocity. be creative but anal with your sequencing :) |

added somemore stuff... tried to add more to the bassline but it sounded retarded so I'm keeping it for now... I hope the filtering is okay, couldn't blast my speakers while I was live recording... but once again... enjoy :) |
