hehe well to really break your dnb cherry, i think you really need to learn how to appreciate it on the dancefloor. you'll realize its really fun to dance to. you can dance to it at 90bpm or go crazy at 180. its a fun genre once you understand the concept.
there are ALOT of shit crazy stupid fucked up dnb talents out there who cater to the retards and scum of society. haha that may be an overstatement but even i cant stand being in alot of dnb parties for more than 30 mins before i have to get the fuck out. even if the music doesn't hit you right away, just TRY to appreciate it on the dancefloor. if it still doesn't hit you then it's probably not your thing. but i really think there are many sections of dnb you and any normal person in society can appreciate and really come to love.... there is so much raw emotion and energy in alot of dnb that just hits you right there... if you know what i'm saying. and i hate mcs, and i hate the overdrill of many dnb djs out there. dnb has evolved to a point i find that an mc really isnt necessary anymore due to the advanced production going on. and i cant stand how so many dnb djs have no fucking clue how to make a set flow... they say "lets keep it dark and hard yo!". and fuck what normal person would wanna listen to that shit for hours right? dnb is like house, like trance, like techno, like hip hop, like jazz... imo it is the most diverse electronic genre out there. it just takes someone willing to open themselves to all these aspects and put them togehter in a way that works... there are so many possible ways to do it. i usually send whatever mp3s i get to rhia and many other peeps. but 90% of my dnb material is on wax.... maybe you can come see me spin sometime this month and i'll try my best to help you understand the genre =) respect |

u gotta feel the bass drop pound you in the chest. DNB has alot of rolling energy, and when a new bassline drops it can really get you moving, or bouncing, whichever your do heh... For a house lover, there are tonnes of producers who put out housey DNB.. One DNB producer Matrix, producers under a house name Goldtrix(i think thats it), theres tonnes of Vocal and housy dnb tracks out there... as well as DNB tracks alot of trance lovers could appreciate...there theirs insane neurofunk tracks like Noisia, Mayhem & Pacific - Centepod, and Calyx & Teebee - Cyclone... love that shit so much....Theres really tonnes of tracks, and i agree with martin sometimes people dont show diversity, but a lot do, you just gotta dig through a bunch of stuff to find what you like.
i'll setup an FTP soon as i find a good program to help me do that....i got tonnes of shit...If you listening to something like Andy C - nightlife 2, and Elhornet(from Pendulum) new mix, you'll see a contrast in styles.. and mixing styles... got tonnes of singles and random stuff and older mixes u can listen to too... b im no1d on slsk Last edited by decypher; Oct 08, 04 at 04:17 AM. |
