New Carts

We'll ... one of my groovemaster II stylus's just crapped out and after finding out new stylus for em go for like $80 I guess it will be cheeper in the long run to just buy a new set of carts. Any suggestions?
I don't do any scratching or anything and want something that sounds good.

^^ What he said. Suck it up and invest in good needles. Makes a big difference as well when recording stuff.

yeah, your first problem was getting something other than ortofons or shures

if you're leaning more towards scratching and turntablism, go for shures

if you're leaning more towards mixing and sound quality, go for the ortofons

however, they both have models specific to each side of the spectrum, but shures will be cheaper

^^ I totally agree with you bro.

If you have the cash though, go for the Ortifon Nightclubs. They have WICKED tracking for scratching and turntablism. Precise goes rank on them and they never skip. As for sound quality, they are also the bomb.

any on the ortofon line are great, each has a specific funtion they're made for.

while the concorde style have better sound, they can wreck your tonearm, so i'd go with OM style now.

yes i know i use concorde but mine are modified.

Do you think I should go with the eliptical or spherical set? I dont do any scratching and am mostly just looking for a cart that is good for beatmatching and some good overall sound quality

get some shure whitelabels or m-44g's than, the m-44-7's are dope though, great for sound quality and scratching...
