I LOOOVE Homework... have TWO copies of that album on vinyl, and most of the singles...

I was not too big on the second album though... I liked One More Time, but I found the rest of it (specially Harder Faster Stronger) to be boring and washed out...

I am hoping this not gonna be the same old same old...

yep this one is goin in a different direction for sure. Less vocoded stuff i think but i really hope 1-2 songs retain that old Daft sound.

I HATE vocoders, specially the overuse/abuse of them starting from late 90s/early 00s until around now... damn Dirty Vegas and Cher to hell for making the used of vocoders trendy.... they totally get on my nerves BIG TIME.

I too hope that a couple of tracks have the old filtered Daft sound that we have all come to love so much.

:-)

Not really a traditional Vocoder. Anteras Autotune is to thank for that cliche effect.=(

Canar is an unknown quantity at this point
I love both their albums, so I'm picking it up for sure.

Me, Kent, Eric and Mike (madhatter) had a discussion about the vocoder a while ago, and we decided that despite all that we hate about it, Daft Punk totally justified its existence in Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger.

I'm sorry. But they play it like a frikkin' jazz keyboard. Brilliant. While I despise the vocoder in general, Daft Punk will forever be allowed to do whatever the fuck they want with it.

Apparently there's a couple songs already floating around. I have two from the new album downloaded, gonna check 'em out when I get home.

robot rock is probably the one you're lookin for..

I've listened to the whole album, it's.. interesting to say the least. I'll have to give it a few more listens before I stand on an opinion of it

the brainwasher is a pretty crazy/cool track, robot rock is my favorite track so far, human after all is definitely a classic track <- more like their old style
