headphones!

im heading out to buy some good headphones, not nessecarily for DJ'ing, but music production (mixing and such) and just for some fine listening...
Dj phones are damn good, any brand preferences or are they all more or less fairly similar? Also, are they exorbitantly expensive? Or any decently high end phones anyone can recommend?
Thanx :)

What are you looking for and what are you willing to spend

I use a pair of technics ones, pretty good, nice bass rec, and can cut out the backround noise no problem.

they cost about 200

yah, I'm looking for a pair that will cut out the background noise, provide me with some thumping bass, and basically give me a good solid sound that I can use to mix (like producing) tracks with. Also I'll use them for DJ'ing once I pick up my tables. So yah, prob'ly a pair of DJ phones like the Technics would be what I need. I'm willing to spend somewhere around 100-150 or so, but I'll go higher if I have to. Dave armstrong recomended those Sony Mdr v500's to me so I'll check those out somewhere as well. thx :D:
