There will always be speed garage, whether you like it or not.

I know no djs offhand, but if you want some tracks here's some older stuff from my newbie raver days when I still thought that Speed Garage didn't suck:

Anything by 187 Lockdown
Sneaker Pimps - Spin Spin Sugar (Armand van Heldon remix)
in fact, most of Armand's remixes from the late 90's are pretty choice sg. In the 2000's he was all about the Disco House and in the early 90's he was just making everything sound like The Witchdoctor.
Double 99 - RIP Groove
Todd Terry - Something's Going On (Loop Da Loop Uptown Mix)
and there's an old MAW track..... Runaway I think? It's oft credited as the first ever Speed Garage song. No rolling pillowfart basslines, but all the rest of the tricks are there.

But you want something made later than 1998..

Check out www.rewindrecords.co.uk, have a listen to some of the clips on there, you'll get the idea of the newer sound.

Maybe I'm being bitter/jaded, but the "newer sound" is almost exactly the same as the "older sound". It hasn't fucking changed since 1998, except maybe to get more stale.

IMHO, YMMV.

I find people like Speed Garage for 1 or 2 years and eventually give up on it, on the most part.

Some of the BC dj's that I know that play speed garage:

Scotty Oh
Cinto
Major Josh
Blaze
Vinyldriver (kelowna)
Heidrogen (kamloops)

Rudeone (me)

I'm playing a night at Tribeca mid may on a Friday and scotty oh! is playing there too I believe.

Oh and click the link on my signature for a dark and dirty speed garage demo.
There's a thread on it in the personal promo section with a cover and shiz.

There are actually tons + tons of new tracks. And lots of places to order from. You must be listening to the same dj's/mixes, or not going out to see them live.

Could not agree with you more, at least in my case. When I first heard it I was like "holy shit, what is this this is sick!". But now after a year I really could care less, doesn't get me going anymore at all.

I listen to quite a bit of different stuff (live, streamed via internet, different tracks both new and old etc etc) and frankly, like other people have stated... Most speed garage doesn't get me going anymore. However, I will admit to having a soft spot for Sneaker Pimps....

I'll give your demo a listen though, I won't be rude without giving something a chance :)
