Your right though Dabbler, I'm not looking for the sound torment is speaking of, that's more of a classic, breakcore, bug, kid606, dj skud sound.

I'm looking for 185 bpm newer (01-05) Ragga jungle with the techstep b-lines. DJ K is a good example. That UK apache track mentioned earlier, thats the kind of shit i'm looking for.

No disrespect Torment, I love that classic, crazy breakcore sound, and I am feeling you on the simularities, but there is a significant difference, between what your repping and what i'm looking for.

This tourment cat knows his shit though kids, i've been reading his posts for a long time, and he's no rookie, so listen to him when he speaks.

Peace & repsect

But wait..you will be buying ENDUSER records, you WILL be buying Bong-Ra 's Dnb work, YOU WILL BE hearing about Jahba.

Enduser signed with OutBreak Records.. Dylan & crew know a good thing when they hear it.

And THE REDEEMER? Its on Position Chrome Records, released almost 2 years now. And it is 100% the ragga techstep Dnb you're lookin for.

I mean, come on, its Panacea. Techstep? Whut?

haha.. point taken? ^^^ It all depends on how hard you want to go with that TECHSTEP sound.

And its nice to see interest in the music, TECHSTEP included.

Didn't Panacea define techstep? That was awhile ago. : )

Like I said no disrespect mate. I know you know your shit. That's a given, i've read your posts, you're like.. the breakcore king. I don't think anyone on here even comes close. That's just not really what I'm looking for. I'm going to download all of your suggestions tommorrow so you can prove me wrong though :)

burger king? what?

Hey.. support local record shops. Go to either ZULU RECORDS or SCRATCH RECORDS and pick up The Redeemer - Hardcore Owes Us Money (Position Chrome). They should have copies. Its everything you're after.

Techstep DnB - 185 Bpm "newer" - with ragga influences. DnB. Good.

Seriously.

ooh, i get to read your "i'm cooler than you cause you've never heard of the artists i like" posts here too?

don't get me wrong tormet, I like some of the music you suggest, but your writing style is easily one of the most abrasive and annoying things I've ever seen on the internet and that says a whole lot...

cheers :)

^^ Yeah, and MY have we had this conversation a few times before, huh Mofox?

Either we dont' get each other.. dont' care.. or... _____________________

If anyone has a prob with this, (say.. maybe MofoX or Dabbler as exemplified here) or my music suggestions relating to Ragga Techstep Dnb, yer pretty simple if "my writing" either threatens you, or moves you to even react to it personally, fuck. I'm a DnB dj & fan, just doin my thing. Our personal interests in the music might be different, our goals as well. But shit, Its a fuckin message board. And we'll have a few more convos about that, huh Mofox?

Note to self:

" Don't care what they think. Just get the job done ".

And Mofox, music is only "obscure" until you've heard it, no need for ego. Please, quit yer whining. One day you'll learn.. we don't care what we think of each other. We'd keep slingin shit at each other online anyway. Are we gettin any further here?

In person? Maybe a different story. I hope it is. : )

Sincerely, that's all there is to it. That's the end of "our little conversation" ok Mofox? Lets not have it again. That goes for you too Dabbler. Online tiffs and shit like this only serves to prove that we STILL don't really give a shit about each other.

"Scenester garbage?"" Please. Give me a break.

Its true right? heheh. Lets be honest.

In the end the music simply needs to be heard. Word?

Enjoy the music. Ragga Techstep Dnb.. : )

Ez.

oh i've come to expect it as part of your "online personality." I've met you in person before and you're a nice guy and I do respect what you're trying to do - just not necessarily how you do it.

and there's no threat, just annoyance. We're ultimately trying to do the same thing: push a sound whether as a radio host, a dj, a promoter or whatnot. We just disagree on the means, not the ends.

damn, you know....i was being nice and very fair about the whole thing, right up until your last post. now i know you're a fucking prick. you don't seem to understand that it's HOW you say it that is the problem.
i don't take kindly to assholes like you, online or in person. and what you say online is a FAR cry from who you are in real life, and i still can't figure out why.
me threatened? by what? by who?
my problem is people who think they are superior to others. and now that means my problem is you. you think you are better than everyone else. that makes you an asshole. while i can appreciate "i'm doing what i love", for some reason it comes across as "i love being an asshole".

"just doing your thing"? ok, well so are we. GET IT?

all i'm trying to say is... having an attitude of "i'm better than you"
is NOT COOL.

Dr Doom is going on about this post and how you bring him up all the time. In all probability, he is just going on about nothing, but just in case here is my obligatory warning : Hands off hes mine.

yes, you've got your ear to the underground and pick up some cool experimental shit, but let me remind you, a lot of experiments fail, and most people want to dance, not bang their heads like they're at a slayer concert. shit, i'm probably one of the biggest ragga supporters in this city and i still think some of the stuff you listen to is poorly produced self-indulgent wanking dreck.

what wum is to everything you are to any thread with the word "ragga" or "jungle" or"dnb" in it. just like he can't have a conversation without bending it back to our satanic overlords, you can't talk about music without letting everyone know how much cooler you think the shit you listen to is.

like i said before, get over yourself.

Wow yeah that got totally out of hand didn't it? Kind of a simple question I thought! Anyways, I just noticed a few of the tracks you guys mentioned are on the hype/dupbplate killaz mix, which is fucking sick IMO

If anyone can think of anything else, plz let me know..

Respect.

PS: Speaking of new shit, I downloaded a pretty wicked d&b set that was like.. heavy metal with a d&b beat and bassline, but it was a vinyl mix and each track was different and had different guitar riffs (so it wasnt just some dude playing guitar overtop d&b tracks) anyways, pretty fucking cool shit, I always wondered what that would sound like.

And oh, please don't cause more drama by saying 'that's not new' or something like that, because it's new for me. This thread is already kind of fucked anyways though.

Almost 36 hrs. later...

See:

messageboard HYPE / DRAMA (on my part yeah?)

vs. reality

Yeah, this thread. Hmm.. where to go from here. ANYHOOO, Ragga Techstep dnb.. haha.

If this were another thread about happy hardcore, i'm sure - cuz i've read it here on Fnk - there'd be shitloads of peeps dissin, including Dnb heads, etc. . Crampin each other's styles, blah blah, snotty messageboard bullshit. Its everywhere.

So if I do it , within Dnb muzak, I'm an asshole? What fuckin garbage. A holier than thou attitude is kinda expected amongst music geeks. Why cry about it. Slayer vs. Metallica??

If i was jockin "hard dance" here, there'd be shitloads of differing opinions.
Its a message board, and i can get on with shit once i've quit typing.

In all respects to who you actually are in "real life", a couple of ya lke Mofx, Auto, etc. have been trying to tell me ONLINE somethings in relation to "my writing" for a while now. Your supposed personal criticisms of me and "my writing" dont' mean much to me. In the end, I know better than to worry about what people think, that's kinda the point of being an individual,
a music fan, or a strong willed person. Reaction can be a good thing. Take no prisoners and all that. And that's honestly how I approach music. You have to. If it rubs someone the wrong way - on a messageboard for example - and you are personally offended or what have you, you ultimately chose yer own battles.

Hit delete, smile and move on. Or something.

I do.

"Here's to the future of "DnB" music."

In the end, who gives a fuck what they think.

Just keep listening to the tunes and get on with it.

Love
